Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called ‘cookies’, text files stored on your computer which enable your website use to be analysed. Information generated by the cookie about your website use is usually transmitted and stored on a Google server in the USA. The IP address transmitted by your browser within Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. We have also expanded Google Analytics with the code “anonymizeIP” on this website. That guarantees your IP address is masked, so all data is collected anonymously. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.

On behalf of the website operator, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with services related to website usage and internet use. Note: For instructions on incorporating the opt-out cookie, please visit:].

We still use Google Analytics to evaluate data from double-click cookies and AdWords for statistical purposes. If you do not want this to be carried out, you can disable the function via the Ads Preferences Manager (

We use Google Analytics, including the features of Universal Analytics.  Universal Analytics allows us to analyse activities on our pages across devices (e.g. access via laptop followed by access via tablet). This is achieved through pseudonymous linkage of a user ID to a user. Such a linkage will for instance be effected when you register for a customer account or log into such an account. However, no personal data will be transmitted to Google.  While Universal Analytics provides Google Analytics with additional functionality, this does not involve a restriction of data protection measures such as IP masking or browser add-ons.

  1. Social media plug-ins

The social plugins described below are used on the website. The plugins are deactivated by default on our website and therefore do not send any data. You can activate the plugins by clicking on the corresponding social media button.

If these plug-ins are enabled, your browser establishes a direct connection with the servers of the respective social network as soon as you visit a page of our website. The content of the plug-in is transferred from the social network directly to your browser, which then embeds it into the website. The plug-ins can of course be disabled again with one click.

Further information can be found in the respective data protection declarations.

    1. Plugins from Facebook

Social plugins from Facebook are used on this website to make our website more personal. For this we use the “LIKE” or “SHARE” button. This is a service from the American company Facebook Inc. (1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA).

Through the integrated plugin, Facebook receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook account or are not currently logged in to Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted from your browser directly to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there.

If you are logged into Facebook, Facebook can link the visit to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plug-ins, for example by pressing the “LIKE” or “SHARE” button, that information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published on Facebook and shown to your Facebook friends.

Facebook can use this information for the purpose of advertising, market research and the design of the Facebook pages. For this purpose Facebook creates usage, interests and relationship profiles, e.g. in order to evaluate your use of our website in terms of the advertisements displayed for you on Facebook, to inform other Facebook users about your activities on our website and to provide other services relating to the use of Facebook.

If you do not want Facebook to link the data collected on our website to your Facebook account, you must log out from Facebook before visiting our website.

For more information please see the data protection policy of Instagram:

  1. Note on data transmission to the USA

For the sake of completeness, we would like to point out that in the USA, the surveillance measures of US authorities allow the general storage of all personal data of all persons whose data has been transmitted from the EU or Switzerland to the USA. This is done without differentiation, restriction or exception with respect to the aim pursued and without an objective criterion that would make it possible to restrict the US authorities’ access to data and its subsequent use to very specific, strictly limited purposes which justify the interference associated with both access to, and use, of such data. Furthermore, we would like to point out that, in the USA, there are no legal remedies available to data subjects that would allow them to gain access to the data concerning them and to obtain its correction or deletion, and that there is no effective legal protection against general access rights by US authorities. We explicitly point out this legal and factual situation to the data subject in order to make an appropriately informed decision to consent to the use of their data.

We draw the attention of users residing in an EU Member State to the fact that, from the point of view of the European Union, the USA does not have an adequate level of data protection.

  1. Right of information, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing; right to data portability

You have the right, upon request and free of charge, to receive information about the personal data that we store about you. In addition, you have the right to correct incorrect data and to have your personal data deleted, insofar as this does not conflict with any legal obligation to retain data or an event of authorisation which allows us to process the data. In accordance with Articles 18 and 21 of the GDPR, you also have the right to demand a restriction on data processing and to object to data processing.

You also have the right to reclaim from us the data that you have provided to us. Upon request, we will also pass the data on to a third party of your choice. You have the right to receive the data in a common file format.

You can contact us for the above-mentioned purposes by email at  . We may, at our sole discretion, require proof of identity to process your requests.

You can also tell us what to do with your data after your death by giving us appropriate instructions.

  1. Storage of data

We store personal data only for as long as is necessary to use the above tracking, advertising and analysis services in our legitimate interest, to provide the above services you requested or for which you have given your consent, and to comply with our legal obligations.

We keep contractual data for a longer period of time, as this is prescribed by legal storage obligations. Storage obligations, which oblige us to store data, result from accounting regulations and tax regulations. In accordance with these regulations, business communications, concluded contracts and accounting records must be kept for up to 10 years or, in the case of users resident in France, for up to 5 years. If we no longer need this data to perform the services for you, the data will be blocked. This means that the data may then only be used for accounting and tax purposes.

  1. The right of appeal to a data protection supervisory authority

If you reside in an EU country, you have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority at any time.
